BOMA (Building
Owners & Managers Association) - BOMA Boise is the
local association of BOMA International, representing professionals
in the commercial real estate industry in Idaho, more specifically
in the Treasure Valley. BOMA International, founded in 1907
as the National Association of Building Owners and Managers,
represents 100 North American and 9 overseas associations. BOMAs
North American membership represents a combined total of more
than 8.5 billion square feet of office space.
NWBOA (Northwest
Building Operators Association) - Northwest Building
Operators Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated
to serving the informational and educational needs of people
responsible for the operation and maintenance of public and
private facilities. NWBOA promotes and develops professional
ideals and standards for Building Operators. The
mission of NWBOA is to enhance and insure high professional
standards and growth and development of building operators through
education, certification and networking.
Rotary
Club - Rotary is an organization of business and professional
leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage
high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill
and peace in the world.
NAWIC (National
Association of Women in Construction) - The goal of
the NAWIC is to enhance the success of women in the construction
industry.
NECA (National
Electrical Contractors Association) - Founded in 1901,
NECA is the leading representative of a segment of the construction
market comprised of over 70,000 electrical contracting firms.
The industry employs over 650,000 electrical workers and produces
an annual volume of over $95 billion. NECA includes 119 U.S.
chapters in addition to others in countries around the world.
IBEW (International
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) - The IBEW is as
old as the commercial use of electricity itself. It is the oldest,
as well as the largest, electrical union in the world. The relationship
between NECA and the IBEW is the envy of the rest of the construction
industry. Disputes are settled by the Council on Industrial
Relations, a national group composed of representatives from
both parties, rather than by work stoppages. In fact, our local
agreement contains a no-strike clause.
